Spare parts for Solaronics equipment
We hold original spare parts for radiant plaques, gas unit heaters and air curtains in Slovenian stock for five active families (SRII, AC, AEC, MC eco3, MRA). Below: categories by wear, lead times, and the three data points for correct identification.
Four categories by wear
Every spare part belongs to one of four categories. The category defines the lead time and the ordering approach.
| Category | Typical service life | SI stock | Lead time |
|---|---|---|---|
| A. Fast-wear parts | 1 to 3 years | Yes | 24 to 72 hours |
| B. Seasonal spare parts | 5 to 8 years | Selective | 3 to 7 working days |
| C. Structural parts | 10 to 15 years | To order | 7 to 15 working days |
| D. Upgrades | At owner's discretion | To order | 10 to 30 working days |
We recommend keeping two units of fast-wear parts (category A) in your own stock if your facility is operationally critical (logistics, continuous production). The cost of such an in-house stock is 200 to 600 EUR per unit heater or radiant plaque.
What goes into which category
A. Fast-wear parts
- Burner nozzles (for SRII, SolarHP, AC, AEC, Minigaz)
- Air filter for unit heaters and air curtains (MRA series, AEC, AC)
- Gasket between heat exchanger and flue
- Ignition probe filter
- Ignition electrode and flame-detection electrode
- Thermocouple
A typical combined set ("basic kit") for one unit costs 80 to 220 EUR + VAT depending on model. The kit covers one to two seasons of routine replacement.
B. Seasonal spare parts
- Fan bearings (air curtains, unit heaters with axial or centrifugal fans)
- Modulating gas valve
- Thermostat and temperature probe
- Gas pressure regulator (pre-unit)
- Burner controller
These parts do not fail annually. Replacement is planned during diagnostics or after an inspection that shows wear. Seasonal parts have a predictable life that simplifies annual budgeting.
C. Structural parts
- Ceramic element of the radiant plaque (SRII, SolarHP)
- Heat exchanger of the unit heater (AC, AEC, Minigaz)
- Combustion chamber
- Exchanger, flue coupling
- Fan housing
Structural parts mean a larger intervention and a larger cost. On a 15-year-old unit it is worth asking whether replacement of a structural part or upgrade of the entire unit is the better choice. For this decision the technical engineer prepares a payback calculation.
D. Upgrades
- Condensing module (upgrade from classical AC to MC eco3 or MH eco3)
- Modulating controller with a 30 to 100 percent range
- Remote control interface for integration into the building BMS
- Low-NOₓ filter (compliance with the latest environmental regulations)
Upgrades are optional. A typical payback period for a condensing upgrade is 3 to 5 years for operation above 2500 hours/year.
Three data points we need
For unambiguous identification of a part we need three data points. Without them the lead time is longer, because identification has to be verified before ordering.
| Data point | Where to find it | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Serial number of the unit | Type plate on the unit (usually side or underside of the housing) | "SRII-81-2018-1234" |
| Model code | Full model name | "SRII 81", "AC 45-H", "MRA 45-H", "MH eco3 60" |
| Year of manufacture | Type plate on the unit | Year alone identifies the correct revision |
The difference between "AC 45" and "AC 45-H" (condensing variant) is essential. Parts do not interchange. Solaronics has updated several internal designs over the last 20 years without renaming the model; the year identifies the correct revision.
Without a serial number you can still order category A (fast-wear) parts, which are universal across a family. Categories B and C cannot be supplied without it, due to misidentification risk.
Pricing structure
Price lists for categories A and B are public; sent by e-mail within 24 hours of inquiry. Categories C and D require an individual quote because the price range is wide.
Customers with an active service contract receive a 10 to 15 percent discount on all categories.
Order without service: delivery to your address. Order with service: the part is brought by the service technician and installed on the spot, reducing the total cost of travel and setup.
Shipping and warranty
Every original part carries a 24-month manufacturer warranty from the date of installation (not the date of purchase). The warranty covers the part in the case of material or manufacturing defect; it does not cover wear from normal operation or misuse.
For delivery within Slovenia we use standard freight delivery within 24 hours (SI stock) or air/road from the Armentières factory in France (5 to 15 working days). Delivery cost: 12 to 38 EUR for units up to 30 kg.
For a critical fault we arrange express delivery to site: road courier 12 to 18 hours from order confirmation, within Slovenia.
After receiving the part see the troubleshooting guide or call technical assistance to guide your technician through the replacement. Replacements involving the burner are performed by a certified Solaronics technician as part of annual servicing.
