Dimensional Drawings and Technical Documentation for Solaronics Appliances

Dimensional drawings specify mounting points, connection geometry and suspension for each model. Request them before submission, not during installation.

Solaronics dimensional drawings are the basis for every installation project: they confirm geometry for building permits, specify gas and electrical connections, and go into the project file without modification. Each product family uses a standardised dimension notation shared across models in the same series.

Dimension Notation System

SRII Radiant Plate Series

The SRII drawing defines seven dimension labels:

Label Description
L Total unit length (burner head + radiant plate)
A Radiant plate length excluding burner head
B Outer housing width
C Inner width (span between mounting brackets)
D Longitudinal suspension point spacing
E Transverse suspension point spacing

Fixed dimensions common to all SRII models: end bracket height 60 mm, cross-section width 181.5 mm, gas connection 1/2" BSP (pas du gaz), suspension 4 × Ø7 mm bores. Variable dimensions (L, A, D) differ by model. Values are in the technical datasheet for each model.

MC Eco3 Condensing Unit Heater

The MC Eco3 has an L-shaped profile: the control unit (A) and heat exchanger (B) are mounted perpendicularly. Three dimensions apply: A (control section length), B (heat exchanger length with fan block and filter), C (total housing height). Total unit length = A + B. Standard finish: white epoxy paint.

Hot Air Series. Wall and Ceiling Mounting

Wall series MH Eco3: dimensions A (length) × B (height) × C (depth). Ceiling series MV and CA: A (length) × C (height). Specific values are in the datasheet for each model.

Product Family Dimension Overview

Product family Series Output (kW) Mounting Gas connection
Radiant plaque heaters SRII 6.2–25.7 per unit Suspended ceiling 1/2" BSP
Condensing unit heater MC Eco3 35–80 34–73 nominal Ceiling or wall G3/4" BSP
Unit heater. Wall MH25–MH80 Eco3 25–80 Wall G3/4" BSP
Unit heater. Ceiling MV35–MV80 Eco3 35–80 Ceiling G3/4" BSP
Hot air heater. Ceiling CA40–CA100 40–100 Ceiling G3/4" BSP
Air curtain MRA-H 45 45 Ceiling / wall G1/2" BSP

Outputs are nominal kW. For heat input (LCV) refer to the datasheet for each model.

Reading the Drawing for Project Documentation

Each dimensional drawing includes:

  1. Gas connection: thread size and direction (left/right relative to drawing axis). For SRII: 1/2" BSP at the burner head.
  2. Suspension points: bore diameter and spacings D and E. For SRII: 4 × Ø7 mm bores, symmetrical on end brackets.
  3. Electrical junction box: position on housing (not shown on all drawings. Request a separate wiring diagram at order).
  4. Safety clearances to combustibles: these are in the technical datasheet, not on the dimensional drawing. Do not substitute the dimensional drawing for installation instructions.

For BIM or 2D CAD import: use 1:50 or 1:100 scale. For raster exports (PNG/JPEG), verify scale against a reference dimension on the drawing.

Available Formats and How to Request Drawings

Dimensional drawings are available in PDF format (colour technical drawing). For DXF vector files or BIM objects (IFC/RFA), contact the technical office at order. Available for all standard production models. Specify:

  • Series and model designation (e.g. SRII 51, MC60 Eco3, MH45 Eco3, CA60)
  • Gas type at the installation site (G20 / G25 / G31)
  • CAD software if requesting DXF (to provide the compatible export format)

For spare parts by model designation see: Spare Parts and Service Material.
